You think you were out of it? I had to visit the second 100 to find an album that I owned (Fripp / Sylvian) or later heard (Tiger Trap). I think 2/200 should qualify me as catatonic.

I recognize a number of names as being esteemed by people whose opinions I trust, but I couldn't pick them out of an audio Jeopardy question.

And since I don't know the Crash Test Dummies (and you've convinced me to ignore it), I'm going with three contenders for my own personal worst:

Mariah Carey (talented, but I don't care for her style or materrial--it's not that she's popular; I like Whitney Houston).

Sheryl Crowe (don't care for her singing, genre, or material; there must be some reason for her popularity, but my ears are deaf to it).

Phil Collins (see comment about Sheryl Crowe; I know he's become something of a punching bag, but I do understand the reason for that).

We seem to be heading toward emo / well-crafted indie pop, and that's a trend I can get into.
