Yes to all your points, and yes, Schrodinger is different from Heisenberg. But even Heisenberg as theory doesn’t emphasize why people clamor for polls that predict the future. Quite simply, people are afraid of uncertainty, and any poll or meta-poll or anti-poll that promises certainty will seem true.
It’s not just the position (literally) of the pundit that skews the analysis; it’s the position of the reader of the pundit.
