While I certainly agree with Chris Crawford that this bad behavior is not representative of ALL police, I believe there are large-scale forces that encourage and even impel all individuals in law enforcement toward brutality as a way to deal with lawbreakers. We are fortunate that so many police don't give into this pressure but maintain their oath to protect and serve everyone equally.
The most dangerous people in our nation aren't the police who put their knees on the throat of the oppressed. They are the higher-ups who put their knees on the throats of the police so that the police feel pressured to put their knees on the oppressed.
By no means should we excuse the murderers of George Floyd. But neither should we allow to go unpunished those who by proxy encouraged and facilitated George Floyd's murder by the police.
