What a great topic. Kudos for including the Singing Brakeman. My father used to listen to Jimmie Rodgers on his uncle's radio in Alabama in the 1930's.

Country-Western is a very fruitful genre. I think there are more CW songs about trains than about successful romantic relationships.

Here's one from my upcoming series about neglected country music, this one from 1927. It's about a runaway train ON AN ISLAND!!!!
