Very similar to my graveyard shift college dj experience (carrier current, which meant it broadcast only to the campus dorms). I would play weird music (Roger Williams' "Born Free" sequed into the VU's "Sister Ray"), and occasionally someone would call up to request something normal--which I would try to find and play.
