Unless the defendants plea bargained, the jurors were the people directly responsible for sending Blacks to prison. If you want to generalize to Harris or Biden, you should also consider wealth inequality, the war on drugs, systemic racism and classism in public education, including the school-to-prison pipeline, and a racist justice system. Unless progressives have been actively involved in combating these problems over the past few decades, they shouldn’t feel superior to Biden / Harris.
