This is anecdotal but in my opinion as valid as big data research. In the 2016 election, I voted in a small southern predominantly white precinct. I noticed an elderly Black woman leaving the polling place. She was immaculately dressed, as if for a church service or a wedding. She walked with a limp, aided by a cane, but her demeanor was one of pride and strength, not feebleness. Nothing could have stopped that woman from exercising her responsibility to vote. If more of us had her devotion to the principles of this country, Trump would have a good reason to be afraid in 2020.
