These series follow the same 3 principles you’re describing here, but they take (roughly) 4–8 hours to develop the entire plot.
This means that while viewers are growing accustomed to short scenes, they’re developing the attention span to follow the protagonist through a much lengthier trajectory than that of a long feature film.
And at the feature film level, we’re also seeing plot development that spans multiple movies, particularly in superhero films.
