The world (experience, ego) of any viewer / reader of an art work is inevitably distinct from the world of the creator of that work (unless the creator is a spectator, and even then, the two may be different from each other in a Heisenbergian sense). If the world of the artist (as conveyed in the art work) is completely peculiar to the artist, then the art work (at least in theory) cannot be assimilated by the audience. Artists (if these assumptions are valid) must then kill off at least a part of their personal vision and incorporate some part of the world as experienced by at least one member of the audience in order to communicate with others.
