The simple truth is that as a group, white people in 2022 (and their parents, grandparents....) have reaped the benefit of a racially unequal system, even if the ancestors of these white people didn't own slaves (and most didn't). A white high school graduate will accumulate the same wealth over a lifetime as will a black college graduate. The most progressive / liberal / woke white person in America has been given a head start over (taken as a group) black and Hispanic Americans. You don't have to be a racist to benefit from systemic racism--just being white will do.
