The right prioritizes the fetus because it's in a state of innocence (according to their mythology). This is why the Republican idiots use the "You won't need an abortion if you don't have sex" argument. The mother or the child victim of incest or whoever is in a fallen state, and thus it's acceptable to sacrifice them for the sake of the fetus. The primary hypocrisy here is that Alito, Thomas, et al. are themselves in a fallen state (even by their own mythology), but they believe they are righteous.
