The Republicans have burned down the country, and we're complaining because they're roasting smores over the embers.

While we were sleeping, McConnell (and earlier plutocrat shills) have been packing the federal and state courts with atavistic judges. The Republicans could replace Coney Barrett with Noam Chomsky, and we wouldn't be much better off, given decades of conservative lower court appointments.

It will take decades of smart, hard work to reverse this trend. But all we can focus on is yard signs.
