To make the task a bit more challenging, I decided to focus on my favorite current genre, Swedish Indie Pop. When I found that most of my STEVEN selections were by Annika Norlin (the creative genius behind the groups Hello Saferide and Säkert!), I honed in exclusively on songs by the musician whom I consider today’s most sophisticated lyricist. The following six selections aren’t necessarily her best songs, but I believe they’re as good as or better than just about anyone else’s. Unfortunately, I realized that it would take me months to do justice even to these works, so I’m uploading the quick-and-dirty version. (I did consider changing my name in order to come up with a list of my favorites, but that would have taken more than a few months.)
