The American Revolution did not morph into violence and chaos (though I’m pretty sure the ruling class in England claimed it would).

The Mexican Revolution against Spain did not morph into violence and chaos.

The Polish revolution against communism did not morph into violence and chaos.

The anti-apartheid revolution in South Africa did not morph into violence and chaos. (Yes, there were some acts of violence and revenge, but the transition was remarkably smooth and peaceful — forgiving even — considering the background.)

Even when there was a period of violence and chaos, like the Terror in France, a democratic-republican form of government frequently righted itself afterwards. France is pretty much better off without the monarchy, yes?

Your defense of royalism is fitting for a defender of an autocratic president. If only we could repeal that troublesome first amendment.
