The 1968 Columbia anti-war protests actually got their inspiration (and communicated with) the 1968 feminist protests / sit-ins at the University of Georgia.

There was a lot of cross-pollination going on. Unfortunately, the Jackson State massacre derived little press from the traditional media. Those of us at the time knew better. We were aware of the media blackout on the Jackson State killings.

Back then, we were in a way all on the same side--fight the power. Nothing has changed much today.
