Such a pleasure to see so many classic authors here (I have to admit I don't know Austen as much as I should, and Wuthering Heights is my favorite Bronte too). But the modern novels are no lesser works either. Before you get to the C's, may I recommend "The Man Who Was Thursday" by G. K. Chesterton and "The Little Sister" by Raymond Chandler?
