Songs for Insomniacs 92: Mew, “Comforting Sounds”
Don’t let the title fool you. This song from the unclassifiable Danish group eschews comforting advice when facing the bleakness of the universe. But at least the repeated instrumental chorus (starting around 4:20 — wait for it!) is riveting (if not reassuring). Stop action video by Mew’s vocalist Jonas Bjerre.
