Songs for Insomniacs 34: Loney Dear, “No Leaf Clover/Wherever I May Roam” by Metallica

Sweden’s The Polar Music Prize recognizes two artists per year — one in popular music, the other in classical. Various Swedish musicians cover songs by the pop artists, often with an orchestra. To honor Metallica, Loney Dear chose two songs that were already orchestrated on the original album S&M, then added a zither, koto, banjo, and beatboxer, plus his own impassioned vocal.
