…a bit more about the Kinks. Maybe I’ll keep a closer eye out the next time I’m in the record store. This would be a great record to put on in a quieter moment, say in the late summer, as the day moves toward evening and everything just feels good, and you want a song to feel you just as much as you feel it.

Something Else is definitely an autumnal album (e.g. "End of the Season"), just as "Village Green Preservation Society" is a summer album.
As for Waterloo Sunset, what can you say about a song that's been covered by Elliot Smith, Def Leppard, Jackson Browne, Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, Wilco, First Aid Kit, Damon Albarn, and a boatload of others?
