Some serious wintertime recommendations to the most literate of those whom I follow:
Agatha Christie: Towards Zero
G. K. Chesterton: The Man Who Was Thursday
Anything by the most interesting of the Inklings: Charles Williams
Robert Louis Stevenson, The Master of Ballantrae, A Winter's Tale (haven't gotten around to this one yet, but if you've read it or do so before I do, I'd love to hear your take). I think RLS is the most underestimated of all British writers.
