So much to comment on here, but a few isolated observations:

Your son's band is quite good. I'm less impressed with the video itself, which to my boomer's sensibility overwhelms the delicacy and subtlety of the music and fights the rhythms.

I agree with you about CD's, but I do use streaming and YouTube to audition new material.

No Welsh music? As an American, I only know John Cale, Man (very slightly), Super Furry Animals / Gruff Rhys, and Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, but surely there are lots more?
