Since most of these musicians are new to me, I particularly appreciate the comments and articles.

68to05 is more my speed. To give you an idea of my tastes, here are the albums I agree with (**=absolute agree; * = I could see that choice, even if it might not end up in my top 5)

1968:

** Village Green Preservation Society (probably my top album period)

* all the rest, especially Only in It for the Money

1969:

** Five Leaves Left (actually the yellow Island compilation)

* Flying Burrito Brothers (I don't know gal costa or Sonny Sharrock)

1970:

* Madcap Laughs (for the Soft Machine collaborators)

1971:

* all of them

1972:

** Pink Moon

* Big Star, Al Green (I don't know the other 2)

1974:

* I Want to See the Bright Lights

1975:

** Rotter's Club (a real surprise there)

1976:

** Moon Madness, The Modern Lovers

After this point, my taste / exploration tends to turn in on itself, following up on familiar artists instead of exploring new directions. The current releases I tend to follow nowadays are primarily from Swedish (and Scandinavian) Pop (I noticed The Radio Dept. in one of your lists).

I've only glanced at a few playlists from the Top 5 pages, but I noticed some favorites there. I hope to use the playlists to discover great music I've missed over the years because of my parochialism.

Many thanks for your labor of love.
