Shadow of a Doubt was reportedly Hitchcock's favorite of his films (and mine too), but I'd bet that Vertigo would be his most "obsessive" film (if not necessarily his guilty choice)--it's got the cool blonde, and in a way Scotty is a kind of double for Hitchcock, remaking his obsession via filmmaking.
