RIP writers with personality. I once read a review in which Lester Bangs referred to fellow critic Nick Tosches as "Nick Two Turds Tosches."

I used to rely on reviews because it got expensive to spend $3-10 for an album, only to find out it was a dud (no exchange for poor artistic quality).Now I can hear practically anything for a trivial subscription cost.

I do enjoy reviews written by musicians that I like, especially Eugene Chadbourne--no dearth of personality there.
