Philosophically, I'm a perspectivist (rather than a relativist). A relativist believes that reality is relative to the person perceiving it. A perspectivist believes that there may be one essential reality, but that the person describing that reality is constrained by her/his own perspective.
With relativism, we just get a series of equal viewpoints. With perspectivism, we can, by sharing the various perspectives, arrive at a more complete understanding of the underlying reality (like the r5 blind men in the parable about the blind men and the elephant).
Your perspective on this song has greatly enhanced my own understanding, and for that I'm eternally grateful. As far as I understand your perspective, your response here deepens your basic point.
