Hutchinson did not testify that Trump grabbed the wheel of the SUV or accosted a Secret Service driver. She was not in the car--she could not have truthfully said that this happened. She testified that someone who WAS in the car made this statement. Now if no one who was in the car made this allegation, then Hutchinson is lying. But if someone who was in the car did make this statement, then Hutchinson is telling the truth--and we then have to investigate whether or not the passenger in question was telling the truth. Hearsay is proof of nothing, but in this case it could provide the panel with an avenue of investigation.
