One of my favorites is The Last Seduction. It bends a number of the tropes (e.g. the protagonist doesn't simply chance upon the fortune but takes it on herself to steal the money). And there's not a moralistic comeuppance at the end.
In a way, Le Million, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, The Twelve Chairs, The Puffy Chair, and Nebraska also fit this type., sometimes in a subversive manner.
