Of all the 2016 candidates, I agreed with Bernie Sanders the most based on platform / stance on issues. I preferred Clinton slightly because of her ability to relate to people, but if ideology were the only factor, Sanders would have been my choice.

In arguing my pro-Clinton position among Facebook friends in 2016, I did some oppositional research on Sanders. Turns out he and Marco Rubio had the lowest net worth of all the Democratic and Republican contenders by a long shot. For someone to have been in Congress for as long as Sanders has and not to have profited more from his tenure reflects his basic honesty and integrity. The major increase in his wealth since then seems to have been from book royalties — no shame in earning money as an author, in my opinion.

The claim that Sanders is hypocritical for criticizing wealthy profiteers while he rolls in the dough like Scrooge McDuck is utter nonsense.
