Not sure why one needs the "absence of religion" to appreciate the finality of the life experience after one's own death (I'm not a big Sam Harris fan). But the finality doesn't mean that I can't take into account my eventual absence when I make ordinary decisions while alive. If I know that my dog will probably outlive me, it doesn't mean I'm ignoring my own finality by creating a trust for someone to take care of my dog after I'm dead. I am using that finality to make decisions. (If I choose to do nothing for the dog--"I'll be dead anyway, who cares about the damn dog"--I'm still using that finality to make decisions.)

Haven't heard The Body before, and since I don't have Spotify, I listened to the 30-second clip about 20 times to get a sense of the music. I found it reassuring in a way rather than threatening.
