My maternal ancestors are Croatian. I don't feel that my personal world view isn't being served because there are (as far as I know) no Croatian-American filmmakers. That's because the perspective and cultural history of European-Americans is relatively uniform (with minor exceptions of course). So yes, the work of African-Americans, non-European Hispanic-Americans, Asian Americans does enrich the perspective of European-American filmmakers.
