Lots of Trump allies (one of them named "Cotton" no less) seem eager to emulate Uncle Charlie, though. (Shadow of a Doubt is my favorite Hitchcock film, and probably the best Cotten performance.)

My favorite Welles film is Touch of Evil. I think it's even more relevant for the post-truth era than Kane. I'd be curious to read your son's take on that movie.
