I've only heard the Koln once or twice and only a few years ago, when I picked up the vinyl at a thrift store. I thought it was exciting, and I wasn't under the influence. More to my tast than Chick Corea, for example. Sure, I wouldn't put it above the work of Bill Evans, but they're in different camps. I also wouldn't put Bill Evans above Thelonious Monk, or Monk above Evans.
