I've enjoyed this album thoroughly. It stands on its own, which is more than you can say for most soundtracks (and most albums, for that matter). There are moments of rare poignancy and grace, esp. in "Dear Father." Many thanks for the recommendation.
Did you know that one of the phrases from "Dear Father" refers to "Nimrod" from Elgar's "Enigma Variations"?
