I've always liked the song, but I didn't know the Elton John connection. "Imagine" is apparently the favorite of most people, but I like a number of Lennon singles about equally. I remember falling asleep while watching CNN the night Lennon was killed. The station kept playing "Woman" in its clips. I'd wake up a bit, hear the song, then fall asleep, then wake up again, etc. for hours. The effect was oddly comforting.
