It’s not symmetrical. It makes sense to talk about the approaches of, for example, African-American reporters / moderators, Hispanic reporters, Muslim reporters because these viewpoints are not a significant part of the overall reporting perspective (except in specialized outlets like BET, Telemundo, or al Jazeera). The dominant vantage point is European-American (White). It is so normative that most white people don’t notice the slant.
There is not a woman / female / feminist news network. So when you have a panel of all female moderators, that is noteworthy itself, because it redresses / calls into view the bias resulting from decades of all-male newscasters / moderators / panelists that we have had, to a degree that a mixed panel does not.
