It's hard to listen to Todd Rundgren's early classics without hearing Laura Nyro. Why she was never more famous is anyone's guess (I was there at the time, and I don't have a clue).

If you want to hear a similar artist who was even more neglected, check out Sandy Hurvitz (who later became Essra Mohawk and gained some recognition). It was a guy's world back then, much to everyone's loss.
