It was quite good (like Robert Gowty, I thought it was like one of the better (if not the best) tracks on the white album.

Like other folks here, I felt Free as a Bird was a decent song, but "Now and Then" seems more authentic (even though it's more manipulated). If you consider how much impact George Martin had on the canonical recordings, adding a bit of AI doesn't dilute the honesty of the song.
