Scene 1

INT. ROBERTO’S BEDROOM — NIGHT

Roberto’s phone beeps — text message. He looks at the screen.

EVELYN: Sam wants to kill me.

INT. EVELYN’S BATHROOM — NIGHT

An anxious Evelyn waits for the reply.

ROBERTO: R U sure?

ROBERTO’S BEDROOM

Roberto’s phone beeps. A series of texts flashes on his screen as he types.

SAM: Evelyn is acting really weird.
ROBERTO: What do U mean?
SAM: She’s holed up in the bathroom. Says I’m going to kill her.
EVELYN: He’s got a gun.
ROBERTO: Not 2 worry.

EVELYN’S BATHROOM

Evelyn looks at her phone.

ROBERTO: Not 2 worry. Probably a misunderstanding. Sam’s cool.

ROBERTO’S BEDROOM

Roberto’s phone beeps.

EVELYN: He thinks we’re having an affair.
ROBERTO: Why?
EVELYN: He’s jealous of anything.
SAM: She says I think she’s having an affair.
ROBERTO: Sam, if anyone’s faithful —
SAM: But she has been distant lately.
ROBERTO: What do U —

EVELYN’S BATHROOM

A loud rapping at the door.

SAM (OS)
I just want to talk.

Evelyn’s phone beeps.

ROBERTO: Why don’t you just let him in? Work things out.

The sound of a door opening, followed by a loud bang. Gunshot?

ROBERTO’S BEDROOM

On the screen:

EVELYN: He attacked me with a knife. I had to
ROBERTO: Call the police. Immediately.

Roberto takes a second phone from his pocket and types in a text.

ROBERTO: Ok?
EVELYN: Clockwork.
ROBERTO: Now destroy this phone and the SIM card.

EVELYN’S BATHROOM

Evelyn removes the SIM card from her second phone, cuts it in half, flushes the pieces down the toilet.

ROBERTO’S BEDROOM

Roberto takes the SIM card from his second phone, puts it into a baggie.
