In my little Georgia town, there's going to be a"Shinin' Festival" (moonshine, not a celebration of the Stephen King novel); The sponsor is going to have on site a copy of the General Lee car from the Dukes of Hazard.

When white people around here talk about "heritage" or "the good old days" they almost always mean "white heritage." No mention of jake leg, or lynchings. No wonder they want to go back there--they'll never do any better.
