In college in the 60s, I knew a Chinese Panamanian (one of the smartest people I’ve known, both intellectually and emotionally). Another friend was a Chinese Trinidadian. He played a Vietnamese as an extra in The Green Berets. We Anglo Americans have a woefully ignorant sense of ethnicity and identity.
