I'm with you in general. The shows of Tay Tay (as I understand them) focus on image, while the focus of Beyonce's shows (again, I'm just a stranger here) focus on the music. There's a phenomenon in pop music--an artist becomes popular for whatever reason, and that popularity convinces many more people to see that musician's work as worthwhile. Taylor Swift has calculated that if she's to continue to ride at the top, she has to change her image so that she will SEEM new and innovative. I probably sound like (Kan)ye jumping on the stage, but I do believe the contrast between Swift and other singers depends more on image manipulation than artistic achievement.
