I'm too cynical to hope that this future may be realized, and even more cynical to think that the result would be an improvement over the old system if it were to happen. The problem with superstars is not that they are untalented hacks, but that the general public prefers untalented hacks over real artists.

Audition shows are crap. Yes, yes. Are TikTok stars an improvement over audition winners? I've got my doubts.
