I'm going to quibble a bit here. Certainly you are right about the need for structural change, and reform of legislative and judicial policy.

But I think that compassion is a far more effective motivator for people seeking to effect those changes than is fear or anger. You can see this shift in Malcolm X (which may have led to his assassination).

A universal sense of compassion is a goal, not a game plan. How we get there is very complex. "Peace, love, and understanding" are probably not going to win over the individuals and institutions motivated by hate and the lust for power. That's why we need "structural change beginning with legislative and judicial policy." I won't even rule out the use of force in some situations. But eventually we must evolve so that those forces of hate and domination no longer exist.

Political action through legislation etc. won't eliminate racism, sexism, etc. It only makes it more difficult for these forces of darkness to thrive.
