I'm 11 years older, but I don't think your choices for the 60's and 70's are at all questionable. "Daydream Believer" was written by John Stewart (formerly of the Kingston Trio) and is a perfect song.
Although my top 70's bands were slightly different, Barclay James Harvest was probably the most comforting, and "Mockingbird" is a true classic. A bottle of wine and a BJH album is about as perfect a combo as there is.
Beyond that point, you tend to move forward while I tread water in the music of the 60's-70's bands of my youth. Martyn Joseph is an unknown to me, so I'll have to look him up (Gorky's Zygotic Mynci is probably my favorite Welsh band).
Overall, a pretty good way to spend 6 decades.
