I am NOT saying that all three men are equivalent, just that the notion of granting polite respect to someone simply because they died tragically is not a valid option. It’s what they did in life that matters.
If you want to honor Bryant, you can acknowledge that he tried to respond honorably after nonconsensual sex, as this article does, or you can sweep the event under the rug. Denial in this case does Bryant’s memory no favors.
