I would laugh, but MTG is the representative for my district, so I'm crying. If you took all the votes for her Republican opponents in the recent primary (who were essentially running AGAINST Greene) and added them to the votes for all the Democrats in the same primary (definitely running against her rather than against each other, as Democrats are wont to do), then Greene would still have won 55%-45%. Here are two safe bets:
1. Most or all of the Republicans who voted against Greene in the primary will vote for her in the general election.
2. The Democrats will make a big show of registering new voters and conduct the semblance of a Get Out the Vote campaign, and Greene will win by a 60-40 ratio or better.
Still crying.
