I saw Lou Reed in concert at the time of Transformer; to be honest, the album (other than "Perfect Day") is my least favorite of his earlier-mid period work (I'm not so familiar with the late albums). Nice to see White Heat. Sure, the lyrics aren't the star here; that would be the later No Other; hope it finds its way into your 1000. Something / Anything is a classic even though somewhat long. (That Flaming Groovies was a fave of mine at the time as well.)
O luta! (actually although I know Milton Nascimento, I'm not familiar with that album). If you want a Brazilian singer / songwriter with teeth, look to Chico Buarque. Dare you to fall asleep to this one: https://youtu.be/vmGrRmXivmM
