I really enjoyed the last Jawbreaker you posted, but I still don't know the group at all, so when I saw the lyrics from Boat Dreams, I imagined some introspective Eliot Smith indie vocal. Hah! The punk defiance works nicely as a contrast to the introspection.

I love the Sonic Hygge theme. You've sent me back to some of my favorites.

Here are two hygge-ish songs from Sweden. Given that they're from Sweden, they're going to be complicated. The first has lyrics a little like Boat Dreams: "And in a land of a thousand seasides / I never really learned to swim at all."

And the second one depicts getting away from the "Stockholm insecurities" to the cold refuge of northern Sweden--but the speaker acknowledges that in spite of the wintry comforts, she'll never be able to stay there. Utterly simple video and perfectly devastating.

Skol!

And here's a hygge song from Gene Clark, whose songs are almost always tragic. But this one's cozy, in spite of what may happen tomorrow.
