I love Camera Obscura--they're one of my screenwriting soundtrack favorites. I'll take you up on the challenge, but in the meantime, here's a Swede Pop maestra of sadness, El Perro del Mar (aka Sarah Assbring).
"According to Assbring, the name El Perro del Mar came to her during an ill-fated vacation in Spain. She was alone, depressed, and out of sorts when a stray dog came up to her while she sat on the beach, and the dog's efforts to bond with her inspired her to express her feelings through songwriting." Contrary to what you might think, El Perro del Mar's antidote to sadness is not cheerful ditties, but really sad (but not dark) music--a way to provide listeners with a fellow sufferer to help work through their own pain. Here's an example: https://youtu.be/8Lfgrl7QCZg
