I like "Imagine." But the kinds of songs I was required to sing in grade school in the 50's were by Steven Foster. Now THERE'S some indoctrination. I do think than in the repertoire of Lennon / Beatles songs "Imagine" is overestimated. Simplistic and smug but not too bad.

Everything else here ranges from loathsome to mediocre / overestimated. I try to avoid popular pop stars like Adele, so I don't know that one, but I probably wouldn't like it.
